FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY (FVSU), a state and land-grant institution of the University System of Georgia, invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Psychology. Fort Valley State University, the only 1890 land-grant university in Georgia, is a comprehensive institution that provides an education to over 2,800 students including graduate students. JOB SUMMARY The Assistant Professor of Psychology position is responsible for teaching courses in the discipline area of Psychology.

Requirements

• Requires a master's degree, including 18 hours in Psychology or a related field.
• Teaching experience at the undergraduate level in traditional classroom settings and/or a n established interest in scholarship to seek publications in refereed journals and other scholarly.

• Three or more years of teaching experience

Responsibilities

• Teaches a typical load of 12 semester-hours of undergraduate courses each semester in Psychology in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats.
• Develop and design curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensure student engagement.

• Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular
• Participate in departmental, college, and university-required activities .
