Eckerd College is seeking an Assistant Professor of Psychology for a tenure-track position starting in September 2026. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or a related field. The role involves teaching seven courses per academic year, including Perspectives in Mental Health (previously known as Abnormal Psychology), Introduction to Psychology, Research Methods and Statistics, and additional courses aligned with the applicant's area of interest and expertise. Candidates who can teach advanced statistics and methodology courses for the Bachelor of Science track will be viewed favorably. Preference will be given to those who are interested in developing an active research program involving undergraduate students. All faculty members are expected to participate in an interdisciplinary general education program, including a regular rotation in the two-semester first-year program featuring a common curriculum. Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to student-centered undergraduate education grounded in the liberal arts.
