Requirements

• Earned doctorate in nursing or related field from a regionally accredited institution/program.
• Prelicensure master's or doctoral degree with a nurse anesthesia major from a regionally accredited institution and nationally accredited nurse anesthesia program.
• Three or more years of clinical experience in the certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) role.
• Current unrestricted license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in Texas or eligibility for licensure.
• Current certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Teach at the graduate/doctoral level in the DNAP program.
• Engage in scholarship and advisement for students completing their DNAP projects.
• Provide service to the School, College, and University through committee work and accreditation activities.
