About The Position

This full-time faculty position is on-campus and in-person. Texas Christian University (TCU), School of Nurse Anesthesia seeks a 12-month full-time faculty member committed to teaching, scholarship, and service in the promotion of future success of the program and students. The 12-month professional practice faculty will enter at the rank of assistant/associate professor to collaborate with the School of Nurse Anesthesia to teach at the graduate/doctoral level in the School of Nurse Anesthesia's DNAP program, engage in scholarship and advisement to students completing their DNAP projects, and provide service to the School, College, and University in the form of committees and accreditation activities.

Requirements

• An earned doctorate in nursing or related field from a regionally accredited institution/program (or equivalent).
• Prelicensure master's or doctoral degree with a nurse anesthesia major from a regionally accredited institution and nationally accredited nurse anesthesia program.
• Three or more years of clinical experience in the certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) role.
• Current unrestricted license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in the state of Texas, or eligibility for licensure.
• Current certification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Teach at the graduate/doctoral level in the School of Nurse Anesthesia's DNAP program.
• Engage in scholarship and advisement to students completing their DNAP projects.
• Provide service to the School, College, and University in the form of committees and accreditation activities.
