Oxford College of Emory University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Political Science to begin in August 2025. The College is seeking a candidate with a strong background in American Politics, whose teaching and scholarship interests encompass areas such as voting and elections, legislatures and legislative processes, urban and local politics, or public policy. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in a teaching load of three undergraduate courses per semester, which includes regularly teaching an introductory course in American Politics, an introductory Political Science course, a course in Political Science Research Design and Methods, and additional courses in their area of expertise. Faculty members at Oxford College also have the opportunity to teach a first-year Discovery Seminar on a topic of their choosing every other fall. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, maintain a productive research agenda, and actively engage in service broadly defined. They should also appreciate Oxford College's mission, which focuses on first-year and second-year students.
