The Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education at the University of Southern Indiana (USI) invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Physics to begin August 2026. The Department of Geology, Physics, and Environmental Science seeks an applicant to teach physics lecture and laboratory courses for science and engineering. In addition, the successful candidate will be able to teach astronomy or physics courses for non-majors, and upper-level offerings for physics majors. The new faculty will have a research agenda that leads to scholarly works that include a component of undergraduate student research. Start-up funds and other financial support, along with travel support, are available to facilitate a productive research effort.
