The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Western New England University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology/Biopharmaceutical Technology in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences. The position is a 12-month tenure-track appointment that offers an exciting opportunity to join a growing graduate program consisting of four M.S. degrees: Biopharmaceutical Technology, Medical Sciences, Pharmacogenomics and Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2 undergraduate programs as well as an integrated and innovative learner-centered in person and distance PharmD program. The successful candidate will be able to teach broadly within the area of Biopharmaceutical Technology, Bioprocessing and Pharmaceutical Sciences, with the opportunity to help develop our recently launched M.S. program in Biopharmaceutical Technology. Applicants with experience in laboratory experience are especially encouraged to apply. A doctorate in a pharmaceutical science, engineering or related fields) with expertise in biopharmaceutical development or pharmaceutical engineering is required. Prior experience as a faculty member in higher education, and/or a post-doctoral fellowship is desirable. The successful candidate will also be expected to pursue research and scholarly activity along with appropriate service to the College, University, and the community. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: The role of faculty within the Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences is to meet the teaching, research, and service needs for the professional Pharm.D. program as determined in conjunction with the Department Chair. Faculty within the Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences will hold appropriate terminal degrees in pharmaceutical sciences or related disciplines as stated above and will have marked progression and leadership ability in teaching, research and service noted at each academic level.
