About The Position
The Saint Mary's College Department of Nursing Science invites applications for a full-time tenure track position of Assistant Professor of Nursing beginning January 2026. We are particularly interested in applicants who demonstrate expertise in medical surgical nursing and leadership. Teaching, Research, and Service Expectations: Teaching load that includes: medical-surgical content, leadership content, evidenced-based practice and research, supervising students in the labs. Teaching in both undergraduate and graduate programs (BSN, MSN, DNP) Record of scholarship/research/creative activity including dissertation Experience of service to a university, nursing department Experience with simulations preferable Experience with online education preferable
Requirements
- PhD or DNP
- Registered Nurse license in Indiana
- Experience teaching medical-surgical nursing
- Experience teaching leadership
- Experience teaching evidenced-based practice
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching both undergraduate and graduate students preferable
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is also preferable
- Experience with simulations preferable
- Experience with online education preferable
