This full-time, tenure-track position will begin August 2025. Primary responsibilities include a vocal studio, directing vocal ensembles, and recruiting. Additional responsibilities may include teaching courses in conducting, diction, song literature, vocal pedagogy, or other courses based on the successful candidate's expertise, background, and departmental needs. Vocal faculty may also be required to participate in Summer Music Camps and Honor Choir events for high school students. Candidate should demonstrate experience in commercial and/or church worship stylings. The successful candidate will be expected to develop quality relationships with area musicians, high schools, and churches. They should also be prepared to lead vocal and choral ensembles, assist with vocal training for small worship leading ensembles, and prepare groups to perform at university and community events. Faculty are also expected to perform advising and committee responsibilities as needed by the university. An earned doctorate and teaching at the collegiate level is preferred. ABD and master's degree candidates will be considered.
