Assistant Professor of Medicine, Cardiac Imaging Noninvasive Cardiologist
About The Position
Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine’s Department of Cardiovascular Services is seeking a qualified cardiologist specializing in advanced cardiac imaging to join its faculty. This position will be responsible for development of the Cardiac MRI program at the institution. Marshall Cardiology is a close-knit, dependable community of physicians looking for our newest partners. We are a busy growing practice, also looking to hire more interventionalists, Electrophysiologists and noninvasive cardiologists. This position will combine clinical care with formal and in-formal teaching activities for cardiology fellows, residents and medical students and an appointment to the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine (with ACGME -approved general cardiology and interventional fellowship programs). This appointment is available for Assistant or Associate Professor, nontenured clinical track or tenure-track educator for qualified applicants.
Responsibilities
- Provider at one primary site, establishing an MRI program at the institution
- Providers rotate at 2 hospitals and 1 clinic site in the Huntington, WV area
- Call is 1:6, weekends only, shared between all attendings with fellows participating in rounds.
- Teaching formally and informally for the 12 cardiology fellows.
- Multiple collaborative research opportunities with translational, biomedical sciences programs.
