About The Position

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology with a preferred start date of August 2025. This is a nine-month contracted position. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Requirements

  • A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is required. The required degree must be earned by the start date.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate mechanical engineering courses including in the areas of Dynamics and Control Systems.
  • Develop and maintain an externally funded research program in mechanical engineering, emphasizing scholarly activities, including peer-reviewed journal and conference publications, grant writing, mentoring students, and developing a sustainable independent research agenda.
  • Engage in departmental, school, or university services appropriate to the position; and advance the goals and strategic plan of KSU.
