About The Position

California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Marketing within the College of Business Administration (CoBA). Requirements

• Ph.D. in marketing or a related field prior to date of appointment (ABD applicants accepted; PhD Confirmation required by hire date).
• Demonstrate teaching excellence.
• A record of quality published research commensurate with years of experience.
• The ability to develop and sustain a research program that will lead to original, peer-reviewed publications.
• Demonstrate meaningful contributions in one or more the following areas: departmental service, participation in university-level initiatives and active engagement in the academic community.
• Be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with departmental colleagues and an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.

Nice To Haves

• Applicants with business experience and/or teaching experience in digital marketing, consumer behavior, marketing analytics, marketing strategy and sales.
• Applicants with demonstrated intercultural competence with distinct groups in teaching, research and/or service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach courses in their respective fields, including one or more core undergraduate courses: Foundations of Marketing, Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior and one or more electives including: Digital Marketing, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Analytics, and Sales.
• Develop and teach Master of Science and/or MBA-level courses.
• Maintain an active research agenda, including producing high-quality, peer-reviewed publications that contribute to the advancement of their field.
• Participate in committees, contributing to accreditation and assessment efforts, engaging with professional organizations, serving as department chair, and supporting community or industry partnerships that advance the mission of the department and university.
