Requirements
Master’s in agricultural education, agricultural mechanics, agricultural and biosystem engineering, agricultural systems, agricultural systems technology, career & technical education or closely related field
Documented evidence of willingness/experience in teaching a broad and diverse range of undergraduate courses in agricultural sciences including program building for agricultural education, instructional methods for career and technical education, organization & management for laboratory programs, introduction to agricultural engineering, agricultural safety, agricultural structure and environments, metal fabrication, agricultural power and machinery, agricultural electric and mechanical systems, land management and agriculture irrigation technology
Graduate level courses on grant writing, instructional design, methods of technological change, electrical and electronic applications
Demonstrated ability to be an effective team player in a multidisciplinary environment
Demonstrates a strong commitment to student-centered teaching and mentoring
Nice To Haves
Ph.D. in agricultural education, agricultural engineering, agricultural and biosystem engineering, agricultural systems, agricultural systems technology, career & technical education or closely related field
Familiarity and hands-on practical experience with Texas agriculture (crops, livestock)
Proficiency in emerging areas of agricultural technology and mechanical systems, such as precision farming, sensor technology and instrumentation
Experience with planning and conducting agriculture related career development events and contests
