About The Position

University of Pikeville is seeking an Assistant Professor of Information Technology Management for its Pikeville, KY campus with direct responsibility for teaching in our newly developed Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Management program. Will be required to perform the following job duties: Responsibilities: Teach and prepare materials for assigned undergraduate courses, including but not limited to Systems Administration, Database Management, IT Project Management, Python Programming, and Network Security. Serve as an academic advisor for students and evaluate student coursework. Serve on the college or university committees and participate in curriculum development activities. Render service to the professional community, which is relevant to the individual’s academic specialty, such as serving on committees for professional meetings. Integrate innovative teaching and real-world problems to engage students in real-world classroom experiences. Create and maintain an environment conducive to innovative teaching and active learning. Develop new courses utilizing no-cost course materials and Open Educational Resources (OERs). Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) to support classroom instruction. Minimum Requirements: Must have a Master’s degree in Information Technology Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Pre-employment background check required.
