The Assistant Professor of Fine Arts in the School of the Arts, Department of Fine Arts, is a full-time, tenure-track, 10-month position responsible for a 12-hour per semester teaching load with an expected productive program of research/creative activity in studio practice supported by a reduction in teaching load. Active involvement in service to the department, campus, discipline, and the community is also expected. Summer assignments and associated stipends are possible in accordance with programmatic need. Core responsibilities include in-person teaching of multiple sections of painting and drawing courses and departmental service courses, teaching possible online courses, maintaining an active high-level studio practice, assisting with curricular development, implementation and program evaluation, and participating in departmental and community service/faculty governance activities. The School of the Arts offers a BA and a BFA in Fine Arts as well as interdisciplinary degrees in Graphic Design.
