The Department of Physics, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado, seeks to hire a tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor with research interests in experimental high-energy physics and/or experimental particle astrophysics. Candidates with research experience in these areas or related fields are encouraged to apply, especially those whose research interests complement the CSU program in high-energy physics and particle astrophysics. Members of the CSU High-Energy Physics and Particle Astrophysics research group work on several forefront experiments to explore the fundamental properties of neutrinos: the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE), NOvA, the Fermilab Short-Baseline Neutrino (SBN) Program, EXO-200, and nEXO. Previous research contributions to particle astrophysics experiments include dark matter searches at DRIFT and study of ultra-high-energy cosmic rays at the Pierre Auger Observatory. The group has a strong core of both experimentalists and theorists who often collaborate with each other. The appointed individual is expected to: (1) build a forward looking and internationally recognized research program within the framework of their individual areas of interest and expertise that is consistent with the goals and objectives of a university environment; (2) actively participate in the teaching/mentoring/advising of undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral researchers; (3) participate in department and university administrative governance functions; (4) engage in scholarly/professional endeavors to support their continued growth as a teacher and a scholar; and (5) fulfill the general faculty responsibilities in the Academic Faculty and Administrative Professional Manual, https://facultycouncil.colostate.edu/faculty-manual/.
