About The Position

The Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) department at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, benefited, tenure-track position in Electrical Engineering at the rank of Assistant Professor, with the anticipated start date of August 2026. An earned doctorate in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is required before the start date. Applicants with expertise in at least one of the following areas: Power Electronics and/or Communication Systems, or a closely related focus area are particularly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate is expected to secure and lead externally funded research and perform scholarly activities, teach state-of-the-art undergraduate and graduate courses in electrical engineering, advise undergraduate and graduate students, and engage in service activities as assigned.

Requirements
