The faculty member will teach existing introductory and advanced Bilingual/Dual Language/Elementary Education courses, with emphasis in Social Studies at the elementary level and the ability to teach using a variety of modalities at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Some courses may be taught bilingually. The faculty member will be involved in promoting the Dual Language Elementary Education program at centers. Faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitment to a constructivist philosophy, keep abreast of current and emerging education trends; advise students, the community, and contribute to the department/program, engage in scholarship appropriate to their field, provide service to the University, their profession.
