About The Position

The Assistant Professor of Economics and Management - Finance at DePauw University is a tenure-track position aimed at enhancing the newly launched School of Business and Leadership. Requirements

• Ph.D. in finance or economics (completed by August 2025) preferred; ABD candidates considered at the rank of Instructor.
• Demonstrated commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal arts setting.
• Evidence of effective and inclusive teaching practices.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in teaching portfolio management, mergers and acquisitions, valuation, venture capital, and entrepreneurial finance.
• Ability to contribute to interdisciplinary programs within the university.

Responsibilities

• Teach six courses per year, including core finance courses and specialized courses in finance.
• Contribute to the development of the finance curriculum and engage in course design.
• Mentor undergraduate students in research and professional development.
• Participate in departmental and university service activities.
• Engage in professional development and research, including collaboration with undergraduate students.
