About the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is a dynamic and growing program within the Department of Medicine dedicated to excellence in patient care, research, and education. The Division includes more than 20 faculty and Advanced Practice Providers representing the full breadth of gastroenterology and hepatology specialties. Faculty practices across four hospitals – Galveston, League City, Clear Lake, and Angleton Danbury – providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, advanced endoscopic are, multidisciplinary management of complex liver disease. Our ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship Program trains nine fellows across three years, offering a broad and rigorous curriculum supported by committed faculty mentors and diverse clinical experiences. The Division also plays an active role in medical student and resident education, contributing to the academic mission of the institution. Position Summary UTMB is seeking a full-time physician at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice within the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. This position emphasizes high-quality clinical care, active participation in teaching, and engagement in the academic mission of the department. The successful candidate will join a team of faculty dedicated to providing exceptional gastroenterology care, advancing clinical education, and contributing to scholarly and quality improvement initiatives.
