UTMB is seeking a full-time physician at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice within the Division of Endocrinology. This position emphasizes excellence in clinical care, active participation in teaching, and engagement in the academic mission of the department. The successful candidate will join a team of dedicated faculty focused on providing exceptional endocrinology care, advancing clinical education, and contributing to scholarly and quality improvement activities. About the Division of Endocrinology The Division of Endocrinology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is a thriving program withing the Department of Medicine, committed to advancing excellence in patient care, research, and education. The Division includes more than a dozen faculty and Advanced Practice Providers who deliver comprehensive endocrine care across UTMB’s four hospitals – Galveston, League City, Clear Lake, and Angleton Danbury. Faculty provide the full spectrum of endocrine services, including diabetes management, pituitary and adrenal disorders, metabolic bone disease, and thyroid disease. The Division maintains a strong referral base and works collaboratively across specialties to deliver integrated, patient-centered care. A major area of focus for the coming years is expanding UTMB’s thyroid program, including the development of a comprehensive thyroid nodule and cancer service that combines clinical excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and innovative diagnostic approaches. Our ACGME-accredited Endocrinology Fellowship Program trains 6 fellows across 2 years, offering a broad and rigorous curriculum supported by committed faculty mentors and diverse clinical experiences. The Division also plays an active role in medical student and resident education, contributing meaningfully to the academic mission of the institution.
