About The Position

The purpose of this position is to provide faculty support to meet the teaching, research, and patient care needs of the Department of Dermatology, and assist in fulfilling UTMB’s threefold mission. The person in this position will be responsible for providing direct patient care including consultative and outpatient services. The faculty member will participate in all teaching activities of the division including conferences and lectures, rounds, and house staff supervision. Students will include medical students, house staff, nursing students, and allied health students. This individual will also be responsible for advancing clinical knowledge through his/her academic and scholarly efforts. In addition, the person in this position will have administrative responsibilities including advising and evaluating residents and students, providing medical direction for Hospital services, and participating in committee memberships at the departmental and Health System level.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved medical school
  • Completed an approved residency training program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Dermatology
  • Texas Medical license without restrictions.
