About The Position

The Division of Neonatology University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Health System is seeking a neonatologist with a focused interest in Neonatal to join the largest academic neonatal/perinatal center in Florida, state of the art clinical service and ample opportunities for clinical/translational research. Clinical services are rendered at all Jackson Hospital locations: Jackson Holtz Children Hospital, Jackson South, and Jackson North. Reporting Relationship: In this role the Assistant Professor reports directly to the Division Chief

Requirements

• Active Florida Medical License
• Board Certified in Pediatrics
• Neonatal Board Eligible or Neonatal Experience Preferred
• BLS

Responsibilities

• Clinical duties will be as a Neonatal Attending in the Neonatal Services at all covering locations providing medical care for neonates in these units on a 24 hour 7 days per week rotational schedule.
• Provide antenatal consultation for high risk pregnancies
• Care and stabilization of infants in the delivery room
• Conduct daily rounds on patients in the different neonatal units
• Administrative duties within the division and the Newborn Service
• Teaching of residents, fellows and medical students
• The position also requires development and participation in original research either clinical or translational for which extramural funding should be sought.
