Full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor level in the clinical/educator pathway in the Cardiovascular Division of the Department of Medicine at the Miller School of Medicine , working in the Miami Transplant Institute . C ardiologist with clinical expertise in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation with a proven record of research and teaching to join a thriving program. The candidate must be well trained in all aspects of general, clinical cardiology, have completed an Advanced Fellowship in Heart Failure, and be BC/BE in Cardiovascular Diseases and BC/BE in Advanced Heart Failure. The cardiac transplant program at the Miami Transplant Institute and the University of Miami has a long track record of success and is the leading institution in Miami. This position will entail inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of patients referred for transplant evaluation, post-transplant care, VAD management, and long term follow-up of non-transplant patients with advanced heart failure. Additionally, the physician will perform procedures including endomyocardial biopsy and cardiac catheterization. This position requires an MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent) and candidate must be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.
