The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine and Pain Management at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSOM) is experiencing a period of expansion and is seeking exceptional candidates to join the faculty. Requirements

• Completed a US approved residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent training and certification.
• Completed a Fellowship in Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Management or have substantial experience in the area.
• Board Eligibility or Certification in Anesthesiology is required.
• Research experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise all commonly utilized peripheral and neuraxial nerve block techniques.
• Manage acute pain patients and acute-on chronic pain patients in an inpatient setting.
• Supervise residents and fellows.
• Perform procedures independently if required.
• Participate in academic activities of the department including teaching and mentoring trainees.
• Participate in departmental conferences and faculty meetings.
• Be on call for 1 week including 1 weekend per month.
