About The Position

The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine and Pain Management at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSOM) is experiencing a period of expansion and is seeking exceptional candidates to join the faculty. Requirements

• Completed a US approved residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent training and certification.
• Board Eligibility or Certification in Anesthesiology is required.
• Research experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of cases including orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal cases, general vascular, and kidney transplants.
• Supervise residents, CRNAs, and SRNAs.
• Perform cases independently if required.
• Participate in the academic activities of the department including teaching and mentoring trainees.
• Participate in departmental conferences and faculty meetings.
• Be available for 3-4 overnight calls per month, with some calls potentially from home.
• Be prepared for evening and weekend calls as needed.
