About The Position

The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, and Pain Management at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSOM) is experiencing a period of expansion. Requirements

• Completed a US-approved residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent training and certification.
• Board Eligibility or Certification in Anesthesiology is required.
• Comfortable performing various anesthetic cases.
• Limited skills in regional anesthesia and ability to anesthetize older children are helpful.

Nice To Haves

• Research experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform various cases, including orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal cases, general vascular, and kidney transplants.
• Supervise residents, CRNAs, and SRNAs.
• Perform cases independently if required.
• Participate in the department's academic activities, including teaching and mentoring trainees and participating in departmental conferences and faculty meetings.
• Be available for 3-4 overnight calls per month, with some calls potentially from home, and may also require evening and weekend calls.
