About The Position

NOTICE - All posted positions are subject to budget approval. Job Summary: Assistant Professor of Clarinet (Tenure-Track). Work Performed: Teaching Clarinet at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Actively recruit clarinet students. Meet school, college and university standards in instructional responsibilities, intellectual and creative contributions, and professional service. Teach related courses as needed to meet faculty load requirements. Rehearse and perform with the faculty woodwind quintet. Serve as requested on school, college, and university committees and in leadership positions in community and professional organizations. Requirements

  • Doctorate level in Clarinet performance.
  • Professional-level competency as clarinetist.
  • Evidence of successful recruiting and teaching.
  • The ability to creatively engage students in the studio.
  • Active participation in professional organizations.
