The Ralph E. Martin Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Applications from all research areas are welcome. The Chemical Engineering department is home to 17 faculty members with diverse expertise spanning healthcare, energy, advanced materials, separations, nanotechnology, and sustainability. With $31M in endowments, including 14 endowed chairs and professorships, the department is poised to support excellence in research, teaching, and service. The duties of this position include: (1) developing and sustaining an externally funded research program leading to national and international recognition; (2) teaching and mentoring undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows; (3) performing service activities commensurate with the position. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
