About The Position

Teach a full time course load of 12 credit hours per semester for introductory and advanced biology courses in subjects such as biology, molecular biology, botany, genetics, and bioinformatics to meet department needs, including lecture and lab sections of Biol180, Biol685, Biol250, Biol325, and Biol607. Supervises undergraduate and graduate research students in various project capacities. Perform departmental and university service and maintain an active scholarly activity agenda: 60% Teaching, 20% Service, and 20% Scholarship/Research. Demonstrate collegiality, professionalism, and a strong commitment to teaching excellence and the university mission. Communicate and collaborate with faculty.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in biology, molecular biology or closely related field
  • Experience teaching general biology courses (majors and non-majors)
