About The Position

Xavier University, an AACSB accredited university, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Business Analytics. We are seeking a candidate with demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong background in analytics programming, data mining, optimization, data visualization, and database management. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for teaching, research, and service to the academic community.

Requirements

• A Ph.D. in Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Operations Research, or a related field by the start of employment.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, preferably at the undergraduate and graduate level.
• Strong technical skills and relevant work experience in topics such as programming for analytics, data mining, optimization, data visualization, and database management.
• A strong track record or potential for high-quality research and publication in relevant areas.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse academic community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Business Analytics, including but not limited to programming for analytics, data mining, optimization, data visualization, and database management.
• Conduct and publish high-quality research in reputable academic journals.
• Contribute to the department, college, and university through committee work, curriculum development, and engagement in professional organizations.
• Mentor and advise students.
• Assist in developing new courses and programs to meet the evolving needs of the business analytics field.
