Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with education and experience. Candidates must possess an earned master’s degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field. An earned or in progress Doctorate is preferred but not required. Responsibilities for this faculty position include teaching undergraduate biological science courses at all levels, both on-ground and online, with opportunities in related disciplines based on the candidate's abilities. The faculty member is expected to participate in curriculum assessment and development activities and to fully engage in university and community life. Applicants will be considered across all areas of the life sciences, with a preference for those with broad training in biology and chemistry. Depending on the candidate’s strengths and interests, teaching responsibilities may include introductory biology, introductory chemistry, biochemistry, upper-level biology, and chemistry courses. Successful candidates should be committed to academic excellence in a Christian liberal arts environment that integrates faith and learning and must pass a required background check.
