About The Position

The Biology Department at Lycoming College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology with a specialization in Botany. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a core course in Plant Science, introductory courses for Biology, Ecology, and Environmental Science majors, and upper-level courses in their areas of expertise. The position offers opportunities for collaboration with the Lycoming College Clean Water Institute and the Biology Field Station, with an emphasis on engaging a diverse student population in both classroom and undergraduate research settings.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Biology or a related field is strongly preferred; ABD candidates in the final stages of completion will be considered.
  • Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
  • Expertise in GIS is preferred.
