The School of Social Sciences at Utah State University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Anthropology specializing in Bioarcheology. Special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise using bioarcheological and/or molecular records to study demography, the socio-ecology of disease, conflict, and/or food systems. Candidates with a record of securing external funds are strongly encouraged to apply. We seek candidates committed to collaborating with colleagues in the department to strengthen graduate programs, apply for external funds, publish research, and engage in teaching and service. This is a tenure-track position with a 2/2 teaching load. The appointment begins August 1, 2026. Review of applications begins November 10, 2025 and will continue until the position is filled.
