The School of Art at UNC Greensboro welcomes applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Animation position beginning Fall 2025. With this position, the School of Art aims to expand its Animation program further at the undergraduate level, which fosters artistic excellence, nurtures next-generation storytellers, and prepares students for professional and creative achievement. UNCG values the diversity of its student body and is committed to attracting a diverse applicant pool for this role. The successful applicant will teach 3 courses each semester, contribute to the Animation curriculum and engage in an ongoing dialogue about current practices in the field, advise and actively mentor undergraduate and graduate students and supervise student projects, actively recruit students to the program, conduct research and/or creative activity that contributes to the candidate's field of expertise to satisfy progress towards tenure, and provide service to the department, college, university and community.
