Requirements

• Commitment to an active research agenda related to adult and lifelong learning, community college leadership, or adult basic education and literacy.
• Ability to teach graduate courses related to adult and lifelong learning, community colleges, or adult basic education and literacy.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and collegiality.

Nice To Haves

• Professional experience in adult education or community colleges.
• Graduate teaching experience.
• Online teaching and/or learning experience.
• Experience submitting and/or securing external funds.
• Research experience in areas such as adult literacy, workforce development, or adult development.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate courses in adult and lifelong learning and community college leadership.
• Conduct research that results in refereed publications and professional presentations.
• Pursue external funding for research projects.
• Chair and serve on doctoral advisory and dissertation committees.
• Engage in service activities within the program, department, college, university, and professional organizations.
