About The Position

The University of Montevallo (UM) invites nominations and applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Accounting, with an anticipated start date of August 2026. A Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution is required. However, ABD doctoral candidates nearing completion will also be considered. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate and MBA courses in accounting, along with enthusiasm for scholarly engagement and mentorship of students from diverse academic and career backgrounds. Special consideration will be given to applicants with professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) or relevant industry experience.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or DBA in Accounting from an AACSB International accredited institution.
• ABD status doctoral candidates will be considered.
