About The Position

The Department of Occupational Therapy at Radford University is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin in August 2025. This position involves teaching across various programs, including in-person and hybrid Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) degrees, as well as an online post-professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program. The role emphasizes a commitment to diversity and inclusion in education, and the successful candidate will be expected to engage in teaching, advising, scholarship, and departmental service.

Requirements

  • Hold a doctoral degree.
  • Be currently certified by NBCOT.
  • Be eligible for licensure to practice Occupational Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Teach across the curriculum with an emphasis on Pediatrics and foundational OT courses.
  • Advise and mentor MOT graduate students.
  • Supervise level I fieldwork students.
  • Contribute to and expand the departmental scholarship agenda.
  • Serve on various committees at the departmental and university level.
  • Participate in professional leadership activities.
  • Engage in curriculum and program development.
