About the position

Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) seeks applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position in medical education. Experience teaching foundational sciences in a medical education curriculum is required. Expertise in endocrinology and/or the physiology of reproduction would be a plus. Educators with experience in programmatic assessment as well as instructional modalities that incorporate interactive learning, team-based, problem-based, or case-based learning preferred. In addition to developing and delivering content for the pre-clerkship medical student curriculum, the successful candidate will have shared responsibility for oversight of one or more systems-based pre-clerkship courses. Ability to work with clinician educators and educators trained as basic scientists to develop interdisciplinary curriculum content is essential. Educators hired on the teaching-track are expected to earn outstanding teaching evaluations, engage with education leaders at other medical schools, and develop disseminated scholarship related to education to secure future promotion. Candidates must have a doctoral degree (MD or PhD). This appointment will be made in a basic science department at an academic rank commensurate with experience. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
