The Biology Department invites applications for a tenure-track position in neurobiology at the Assistant Professor level, beginning August 2026. We value student research, and the successful candidate will be expected to establish an active neurobiology research program that engages diverse undergraduate and Masters- level students. The Biology Department has 16 faculty members and participates in the undergraduate Neuroscience Interdisciplinary Program, and offers an undergraduate major in Biology and M.S. programs in Cellular and Molecular Biology; Evolution, Ecology, Organismal Biology, and General Biology. Perform related Departmental duties as required.

  • Establish an active neurobiology research program that engages diverse undergraduate and Masters- level students.
  • Perform related Departmental duties as required.
  • Ph.D.
  • Postdoctoral research experience in neurobiology
  • Demonstrates the ability to teach at the college level.
  • Individuals who can teach BIO 330 Neuroanatomy, NSCI 301 Introduction to Neuroscience, and advanced neuroscience courses.
