The Department of Mathematics in the College of Science (COS) invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE), 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professor position. This position will engage in teaching, research and service in the Department of Mathematics. The area of research will include at least one of Algebra, Number Theory, or Probability; work in more than one of the target areas is not necessary for the position. Tenure stream faculty in the College of Science and the Department of Mathematics are expected to demonstrate effectiveness in teaching, advising and other institutional activities; achievement in scholarship and creative activity that establishes the individual as a significant contributor to the field or profession; and an appropriate balance of institutional and professional service. All professorial positions are expected to make significant contributions to undergraduate and graduate education.
