About The Position

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College Department of MPCS invites applications for up to three tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Mathematics, intended to begin August 15, 2026. The American Association of University Professors serves as the collective bargaining agent for full-time faculty; see the Chapter's website for details of the bargaining agreement.

Requirements

  • A Master's Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field.
  • One (1) academic year of teaching experience in Mathematics at the college level as instructor of record.

Responsibilities

  • Teach full range of mathematics courses such as but not limited to Introductory Algebra, College Algebra, and Applied Calculus in the format of in-person classes, which may include evening courses, and some courses with online or hybrid options.
  • Participate in the governance and committee work of the Department, College, and University.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development in the discipline of mathematics and/or the scholarship of teaching and learning.
  • Utilize the Canvas LMS, textbook-specific systems, and other relevant classroom technology.
  • Hold regular office hours to meet with students.
  • Assess student learning utilizing best practices.
