The University of Akron School of Law will hire an Assistant Professor to begin teaching in fall 2026. Both entry-level and lateral candidates are encouraged to apply. The committee is interested in candidates with a commitment to excellence in teaching as well as scholarly distinction or great promise as demonstrated by strong early scholarship and a thoughtful agenda for future work. The assistant professor will teach Contracts, UCC Sales, and other courses to be determined. Our strategic focus areas are (1) Respect and Understanding, (2) Intellectual Property Law; and (3) Advocacy and Practical Training.
