About The Position

The School of Information at the University of South Florida seeks to fill a 9-month, full-time and tenure-earning, Assistant Professor position with a start date of August 7, 2026. Salary is negotiable.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Information Science, Information Technology, Security Studies or a closely related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science/Analytics, etc.) is required.
• Applications from individuals who are ABD will be accepted, but the degree must be conferred by appointment start date.
• Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.

Nice To Haves

• Preference will be given to applicants whose research focuses on Cyber and/or Strategic Intelligence Tradecraft or Information Security/Cybersecurity, who have strong quantitative research skills, a demonstrated record of scholarly research and publication, university-level teaching experience and a clearly articulated research agenda.
