Eastern Michigan University's (EMU) School of Social Work (SSW) is now accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. This position is part of a university-wide interdisciplinary cluster hire focusing on college students' mental health and well-being. This position is a full-time, eight-month academic appointment.

  • Teach courses in the BSW and MSW programs.
  • Participate in the cluster collaborative focusing on mental health.
  • Engage in scholarship and service within the SSW, the Mental Health Collaborative cluster, the College, the University, and the larger community.
  • MSW from a CSWE-accredited program.
  • Earned DSW or PhD in social work or a closely related field before the beginning of employment.
  • At least 5 years of full-time, post-MSW degree social work experience.
  • Established research agenda and interest in college students' mental health and well-being.
  • Practice experience and scholarly expertise relevant to the needs of culturally diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice.
