ROLE of the POSITION The UNLV School of Public Policy and Leadership invites applications for a full-time,12-month, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor-in-Residence in Public Policy to start July 1, 2026. The selected candidate will teach and support student experiential programming, primarily in the Doctor of Public Policy (DPP) Program, the Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program, and the Bachelor of Science in Urban Studies Program. Highly competitive candidates will have demonstrated success in teaching, experiential learning, and student engagement in public policy, public administration, or related fields. The selected candidate will be expected to engage in teaching and advising at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and enhance student involvement in field experiences across the mentioned programs. This position also requires individuals that are adept at implementing creative and practical approaches in education and student engagement. The successful candidate will be expected to teach using various delivery methods, including online, hybrid, and in-person formats. Priority will be placed on applicants with experience in public administration, urban studies, or public policy who can deliver instruction on policy implementation, public management and public governance. The selected candidate may also occasionally engage community stakeholders and public agencies in Nevada and at the federal level.
