The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant Professor-in-Residence, Psychology [R0150006] ROLE of the POSITION The Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track teaching faculty member (Assistant Professor in Residence) to begin Fall, 2026. A primary responsibility for this position is the development and instruction of undergraduate courses in careers in psychology. This position also involves teaching foundational and upper-division courses, including capstone. Career advancement is available with evidence of continued professional development and service contributions. The Department seeks individuals who are committed to fostering an environment in which faculty, staff, and students from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and personal experiences are welcomed and can thrive. PROFILE of the DEPARTMENT of PSYCHOLOGY The Department has 40 full-time faculty members, a B.A. program in psychology, a B.S. program in neuroscience, an APA-accredited Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology, a Ph.D. program in Psychological and Brain Sciences with cognitive, developmental, and quantitative/social/community areas of study, and is affiliated with a campus-wide interdisciplinary Neuroscience Ph.D. program.
