The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for an Assistant Professor-in-Residence, Criminal Justice, College Of Urban Affairs. The incumbent will be in an academic faculty with responsibilities for instruction. Incumbent will serve as undergraduate coordinator working with Chair of the Department to ensure students have necessary courses to make optimal their educational progress. Individual will teach both in person and on-line courses. They will be expected to teach both required and elective courses. Incumbent will make him/her self available the entire year to meet with students to answer questions with regard to academic issues. This will require a good working relationship with the College's Advising Office. As part of incumbent's teaching responsibilities, the individual will develop and maintain a robust internship program including summer course offerings. The internship program will require incumbent to develop a network of external professional relationships. Incumbent will make recommendations to the unit's faculty on undergraduate education courses and requirements. Serve, along with the Chair, as the unit's representative at the college and university curriculum committees. Serve as unit's representative for the University's recruitment and orientation programs.
