Responsibilities

  • Teach lower-division introductory courses and upper-division courses on Infections and Inequalities, Global Health, and/or the Environment and Health.
  • Contribute to departmental core courses such as Introduction to Public Health, Evidence Based Public Health, Epidemiology, and Statistics.
  • Develop and teach courses that contribute to curriculum development in the relevant degree program and/or the university core.
  • Conduct and appear at all assigned class meetings in a timely and prepared manner.
  • Assign and evaluate written work, projects, and exams, providing timely feedback to students.
  • Hold weekly office hours at convenient times for students.
  • Administer numerical and narrative evaluations for all courses.
  • Participate in assessment of student learning for courses in the department.
  • Develop a research program that results in the publication of peer-reviewed journal articles.
  • Provide effective service to the Department of Public Health, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the University.
