The College of Education and Human Development seeks candidates for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Kinesiology beginning in Fall, 2026. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate/graduate level courses in Kinesiology, including (but not limited to) Exercise in Chronic Disease and Disability, Therapeutic Exercise, Biomechanics of Musculoskeletal Injury, and Exercise Training, while working collaboratively with faculty to build a comprehensive Kinesiology program supporting multicultural populations. Mentorship and advisement of students are essential in addition to the involvement in campus activities and other responsibilities, as deemed necessary. Scholarly activity with publications in referred journals as well as attendance and presentations at professional meetings is essential. Quality performance will also be expected in teaching, research, student mentorship, community service, as well as active University Committee participation. The Kinesiology program, Department of Counseling, Health and Kinesiology, at Texas A&M University-San Antonio is a growing program with approximately 450 majors. Our students choose between three concentrations: Pre- PT, Exercise Science, and Physical Education. Our faculty members are actively involved in research and in professional organizations in their respective fields. The successful candidate will join an intellectually stimulating and innovative academic environment.
